First post for 2011

2011 Is finally here and this is my first post for the year. I'm so glad to see 2010 leave. It really wasn't a good year for me. This year I'm working hard to change things to benefit me financially, emotionally and physically.
There will be major changes this year, change of residence, moving to a new town, change in my job and going back to school. All this will happen within the next 4 months. There is so much I want to do and can't wait to get started. I want to decorate my new home, I want to start a brand new job/career, I can't wait to leave the "Big City" and live in the suburbs. I want to garden like I used to, I miss having my hands in the earth.
I never have resolutions for New Years, but this year I decided to have one resolution: Make the best of 2011! Work on myself physically, financially and get my life moving forward. Get closer to my goals, short and long term. So, I've already started.

First is to save money for my retirement and get my "retirement home" I've been picturing in my mind.
Second is to be creative in decorating my new home, creative in both the way of putting together things and doing it within a budget. I love decorating and like my place just so, being just so means to me elegant and functional. Which usually means quite costly. I don't like cheap materials but then I don't like paying the price of having it custom made. I've found a few pics online which constitute my version of elegant.

Of course my home wouldn't be complete without a hot tub.

Those are some of my goals, long term and short, but still goals that I will try my best to achieve.
